Dancing with the Stars producers reportedly dropped Julianne Hough from the show's judging panel in an attempt to boost its ratings and popularity.

Edyta Sliwinska, a favorite dancer who took time off to start a family, is back, as is sports anchor Erin Andrews, making her triumphant return since that whopping $55 million settlement for that creepy hotel room stalking ordeal. So it's a little like CBS's high-stakes medical drama "Code Black", which stars Marcia Gay Harden as the maverick doc, but with a lot more quirk, friskiness and Dave Annable ("Brothers and Sisters"), the latter two often at the same time.

Her hiring for "Dancing with the Stars" began three years ago when the 18-year-old WRHS graduating senior auditioned with thousands of others for a spot on "So You Think You Can Dance", a Fox dancing competition. Among the stars that will be paired up with professional dancers are Super Bowl MVP Von Miller, Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown, Bills legend Doug Flutie, and UFC fighter Paige VanZant.
"'Dancing With the Stars' has given me an opportunity to really be seen in my own light", Maples says in a preview video, which shows her rehearsing with pro dance partner Tony Dovolani. "[The players] are very different people, but we liked them all individually". However, they are set to defend themselves worthy of earning the title and the prize in the show with the dance routines that they had rehearsed.
