Microsoft, with the arrival of the Lumia 650 onwards, is now looking at branding their phones as business devices, and the company will now be focusing more on the business class users, giving their devices more of a blackberry-like appeal. After postponing the update for several months, it has finally been released.
While it's good to see OneDrive integration getting better features in Windows 10, there's one feature that everyone expects to see returning in the Redstone update, but which doesn't get much attention from Microsoft at the moment.
The Country Caller reported that the QUAD-HD AMOLED display of Surface Phone will have 1440.2560 resolution and it will be running in Windows 10 operating system, which is the most likely case since the previous Microsoft premium smartphones have Windows 10 pre-installed. With this move of Microsoft, the Windows Mobile fans are angry over the U-Turn of Microsoft on Windows 10 upgrade.
To prevent such issues, Microsoft will first release new Edge extensions to its Windows Insiders for testing, DeBruyne said.
The users are required to download the Windows 10 upgrade Advisor app from the Windows store and just select Enable Windows 10 upgrade. Handsets to receive Windows 10 Mobile update are: Nokia Lumia 1520, Nokia Lumia 930, Microsoft 640, Microsoft Lumia 640 XL, Nokia Lumia 730, Nokia Lumia 735, Nokia Lumia 830, Microsoft Lumia 532, Microsoft Lumia 535, Microsoft Lumia 540, Nokia Lumia 635 1GB, Nokia Lumia 636 1GB, Nokia Lumia 638 1GB, Microsoft Lumia 430, Microsoft Lumia 435, BLU Win HD w510u, BLU Win HD LTE x150q and MCJ Madosma Q501.
"As Windows 10 delivers significant new innovations, many older devices are not able to successfully upgrade without an impact on the customer experience", Fortin noted in the blog post.
With the Windows 10 Mobile now spreading across millions of more devices than it was in the past, app makers too, are all set to introduce their applications for this latest platform.

Given that some Lumia phones are quite old, it is not surprising that Microsoft is not going to support them.
Initially, the Tech Giant had assured users that all Lumia Windows Phones operating on Windows 8 would get upgraded to Windows 10. BTW let's hope it will not explode as these things seem to do from time to time.
