"For example, Armenia conducted military exercises in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan over the past period", he stressed.
"The less problems there are in the region, the better it is for Russian Federation and Azerbaijan".
The status quo is yet to be altered in the conflict, Aliyev said. The sides in Nagorno Karabakh settlement have moved much closer to success than ever before but it is too early to disclose the details, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on July 12 after talks with his Azerbaijani counterpart Elmar Mammadyarov, reports TASS.
Hajiyev said Armenia, preventing the progress in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict's settlement, is conducting political provocations.
Sergei Lavrov, in turn, said that "Russia and Azerbaijan have partnership relations".
"Yesterday we had a detailed, frank and confidential dialogue with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev".
Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian echoed similar sentiments while speaking to reporters in Warsaw, saying that Baku was reluctant to allow the OSCE to investigate ceasefire violations and send more monitors around Karabakh.
"Baku must agree on and apply the agreement acquired in Vienna on May 16 and reaffirmed in Petersburg on June 20 and contribute to creating a proper atmosphere for the resumption of negotiations on the Nagorno Karabakh conflict".
These measures were introduced to strengthen the Karabakh ceasefire regime, which has seen an uptick in violations since Azerbaijan brutally attacked Karabakh in April.
