The film has expected to create a new record of collecting 201 Cr in the first weekend. Adding in the amount of Monday (6th Day), its total business reached to Rs 202.4 Cr.
Salman Khan's Eid release has become the fastest movie after crossing it to touch the Rs 150 crore mark. It has now set the record at Rs 180.36 crore, which no one will probably manage to beat this year. The Ali Abbas Zafar directorial minted over Rs 35 crore on its opening day.
Sultan also has the highest opening weekend grosser of 2016 at the overseas market.
The film is also now the highest opening weekend grosser at the worldwide market. The last record was held by Pakistani film - Jawani Phir Nahi Ani.
