The game was inspired by a Google "Doodler" named Juliana Chen. Each one has a symbol or series of symbols over their heads, and waving the wand in that shape will cause the ghost to be defeated.
The game's five levels are all school-themed and include a library, a cafeteria, a classroom, a gym and a rooftop.
"In the end, we decided that for a short game against the clock, simple was better".
Magic Cat Academy can be played on Google.
Players are given five different levels of Magic Cat Academy if you're a gamer you can ace the game. The symbols get more complex as the game proceeds. While they kept the spells simple in the interest of time, it's such a shame that we didn't get to see the "Cat Hat Spell" and other gags! The shapes are a vertical line, horizontal line, up arrow, down arrow and occasionally an S and a heart if you're running low on lives.
Your mission is slaughter these spirits before they can cast an evil spell on you.
Random Access: we're showing you the MakerBot Replicator+ 3D printer and talking about Google's wizard cat, No Man's Sky and Apple Watch.
The result is fun, engaging and adorable, and players can share their results via social media or email once they finish the game. There are also bosses on each level that add some additional challenge to the game.
