In the lead-up to the release of the full trailer for the live-action Ghost in the Shell, the studio has released another blink-and-you'll-miss-it teaser for the much-discussed/debated film.
Paramount has already shown off a couple of glimpses of Scarlett Johansson's The Major (née Motoko Kusanagi) from the upcoming Ghost In The Shell movie, but neither of them gave us a chance to see what The Major does best: giving bad people a high-tech ass-kicking.
What makes this particular teaser so exciting is the fact that we get to see Scarlett Johansson's character in the movie don the iconic thermoptic suit.
The official trailer will premiere in Tokyo, Japan, on November 13.
It was revealed last week that the story of the film will surprisingly be taken from the anime series Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, and not from the original animated film.
The film also stars Rila Fukushima, Michael Pitt, Pilou Asbæk, Juliette Binoche, Beat Takeshi, Kaori Momoi, Chin Han, Danusia Samal, Lasarus Ratuere, Yutaka Izumihara, and Tuwanda Manyimo. In Ghost in the Shell, the task force faces an enemy who is trying to wipe out advancements in cyber technology.
Writer and illustrator Masamune Shirow's Ghost in the Shell, which was introduced as a serial publication in 1989, became an global phenomenon over the years, spawning several animated films, video games, and television programs.
