Honda Car India has finally marked its official entry into the sub-4m SUV segment by launching the new Honda WR-V in India at INR 7.75 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
Price: Coming to the price point, Honda WR-V is offered in the price range of INR 7.75 lakh for the base variant while the top end variant sees a price tag of INR 9.90 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The Honda WR-V is available in two grades S and VX in both Petrol and Diesel variants and would be available with a choice of six color options: Premium Amber Metallic (New), Modern Steel Metallic, White Orchid Pearl, Carnelian Red Pearl, Alabaster Silver Metallic and Golden Brown Metallic. The WR-V, the Jazz-based crossover with SUV styling, will also square off against crossovers like Hyundai i20 Active, Toyota Etios Cross and Fiat Avventura.
Ueno said with the launch of Honda WR-V, the company is offering a vehicle for recreational usage as well as comfortable driving for daily use in the city. The rear has received a new tail lamp design that resembles the Honda BR-V.
India is the first country to manufacture and launch the Honda WR-V in the world. The WR-V has two interior colour themes - Urban Casual: Black and Bluish grey seat fabric and Urban Sophisticated: Black & Silver seat fabric. The most fuel efficient engines!
Under the hood, the WR-V can be had with a 1.5L i-DTEC diesel motor or a 1.2L i-VTEC petrol engine. The transmission duties are carried out by 5-speed manual and 6-speed manual gearbox for petrol and diesel respectively.
The Honda WR-V is expected to be priced between Rs 7 to Rs 10 lakh. The company has also offered all the variants with ABS (Anti-lock Braking System), EBD (Electronic Brakeforce Distribution), ISOFIX and dual front airbags as standard.
Its maximum torque of 350 Newton-metres at 2,000 rpm is equivalent to a large-size diesel engine, the company said, with exceptionally high fuel efficiency of 18.9 Km/L.
