President Donald Trump said during a presidential debate that though millions of women are helped by Planned Parenthood, he would remove funding because of "the abortion factor". Republicans claim to be champions of individual rights and freedoms, but they invade a woman's right to make her own private reproductive health care decisions. She said that she had no problem with the proposal because her opposition to Planned Parenthood lies with its abortion work. We will not allow politicians to take it away.
While the Planned Parenthood Federation of America is technically distinct from its political arm, and technically nonpartisan, there's no getting around the fact that the group's leader and its political arm are nakedly partisan.
Meanwhile, Republicans in Congress said that they will shortly move legislation to strip federal funds from Planned Parenthood, and a provision stating that was added to the Affordable Care Act repeal released on Monday.
