Shah asked every BJP member, from minister to ordinary party worker, to devote at least 15 days a year to working to strengthen the organisation.

Later, BJD leaders took a dig at the BJP-led government at the Centre for ignoring the genuine demands of the state. Assembly elections in Odisha are due in May 2019 along with the general elections.

At the national executive meeting, Shah has lashed out at the misgovernance under Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik's rule.
