This was Kane's 126th playoff game. "They've got the bounces, and we need to just keep working until we get the bounces".

In three games, the line has combined for four goals and seven assists. But it did, and now the Hawks are 60 minutes away from seeing another year of their championship window close in the first round. Once Fisher was traded to the Nashville Predators a few seasons back, both sides of her life merged into one, making her hockey fandom much easier to manage considering she can now support the team that belongs to the city in which she spends a lot of time already. You would hope that Nashville would accomplish it without the aid of a blown call, but good breaks are part of an extended playoff run and Nashville just got a giant one from the officials.

The Predators goalie made one of the biggest "saves" of the playoffs thus far Monday night in the Preds' eventual 3-2 win over the Chicago Blackhawks, giving Nashville a commanding 3-0 series lead. The Blackhawks will look to become just the fifth team in National Hockey League history to come back and win a series after being down three games in a series.

The trick is planting that seed of doubt in the first place. It's that this particular team had an especially strong regular season: They finished with 112 points, the second most in franchise history.

Up 3-0 in the series, the Nashville Predators will play Game 4 at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville on Thursday at 7 p.m. CT.

But the Hawks believe it can be done.

Sure, but Blackhawks captain Jonathan Toews, AKA "Captain Serious", refuses to concede that.

"I don't think there's going to be any doubts".

- The first second round ticket can be punched tonight as Pittsburgh has a 3-0 lead in their series with Columbus.

And she gave them an extra treat, too! Pekka Rinne has given up two goals on 95 shots faced.

"We're not playing bad", Wild defenceman Ryan Suter told reporters. We know what they've done in the past.

"Once you do something, you can say, 'Hey, we've done that before.' " Predators coach Peter Laviolette said of his team's knack for mounting comebacks. L.A., down 3-0 first round to San Jose, and win a Cup.

But Laviolette nearly sounded like he didn't want to jinx himself when asked about that series Wednesday. Even going down 3-0, there were more positives to take from those three games.

It's the kind of talk you don't normally hear from dynasty teams. The Sox haven't made the playoffs since 2008 and haven't won a postseason series since they ended their own 88-year title drought by winning the championship in 2005.

"I look at Kane when he comes to the bench (and) I'm thinking if he goes every other shift, he's fine", Quenneville said. We played Philly in the finals in 2010.

Maybe the defense will be a little more motivated to stymie that rush attempt and maybe it won't feel as hopeless for the Hawks as it did Saturday night.
