So what is Marvel Heroes Omega? The MMO will feature 38 Marvel Heroes including Captain America, Deadpool, Wolverine, Iron Man, and more.
The PC exclusive Marvel Heroes is now being ported over to the PS4 and Xbox One consoles this Spring.
Gazillion Entertainment has just announced that they're releasing a new Marvel Heroes game. That will be more than enough to convince most of you to check this out, but if you needed an extra little nudge, here's the cherry on top: the game is going to be free to play. Headline characters include Spider-Man, the Avengers, the X-Men, and the Guardians of the Galaxy, while villains Loki and Doctor Doom will also make an appearance in the game's nine-chapter story campaign.
Marvel Heroes launched in 2013 and has been receiving big yearly updates since then, with Marvel Heroes 2016 adding controller support in what was apparently a sneak peek at how the game would play on consoles. Now just 38 heroes will be available at launch, while the PC has 62 heroes, but regular additions and updates are planned.
In a posting on the PlayStation Blog, David Lee, Community Manager at Gazillion said, "If you've got a favorite Marvel Super Hero, there's a good chance you'll be able to play as him or her in Marvel Heroes Omega". We will find out this Spring. The trailer depicts a scene a Star-Lord mocking Loki and breaking into dance as Loki demands that all in the vicinity kneel before him, so clearly the game is after the lighthearted feel that numerous Marvel films have also adopted.
