Water levels on both the MS and OH rivers continued to rise slowly as of early this week.
According to the National Weather Service, much of the rain is expected to fall overnight, making flooded roadways less visible.
Union County is bordered on the west by the Mississippi River.
Minor flood conditions were reported in the region.
The flood warning for the Mississippi River at Thebes continues until Thursday morning, today. Flood stage is 33.0 feet. However, a National Weather Service meteorologist said that although it isn't likely that if a significant amount of rainfall hits the river basins this weekend then they could rise above the flooding stage again.
"Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of floods and flash floods", the warning reads. Flood stage is 12 feet.
The Flood Warning along the Red Cedar River in East Lansing is in effect until Tuesday afternoon.
The flood advisory issued last week was extended early Tuesday morning for many rivers in MI as April weather brings spring flooding to the state.
