According to WLWT-5, the shooter or shooters fled immediately after the massacre around 11:30 p.m.at a home in Colerain County, leaving behind a scene of total devastation. One is critical, three are in fair condition and one is stable, the hospital told WLWT.
Jim Love, a spokesperson for the police told WCPO that police are tracking down several leads.
A witness to the shooting called 911 and said she was sitting outside the house in her vehicle when she saw two men in hoods enter the home, open fire and run off, according to a recording of the call released early Sunday.
Family members tell ABC affiliate WCPO-TV that a "gender reveal" party was taking place at the residence at the time of the shooting.
The witness says the two shooters were in all black and wearing hoods.
"As of right now, I do not know what instigated this", Love told local news media. "There was little kids hurt and everything".
Investigators are waiting to interview all the surviving shooting victims before determining if the men are suspects, Love said. I was sitting in my auto.
"You're hoping that there won't be situations like this", Love said. "I looked outside, next thing I know they just ran in and just started shooting".
