A lucky SUV driver in Texas narrowly escaped being crushed by a BMW that plummeted seven stories off a parking garage.
And video detailing the harrowing event was released by the Austin Police Department Thursday.
The video shows a large Chevrolet SUV patiently doing a three-point-turn in the Littlefield parking lot in Austin when, all of a sudden, a auto crashes down from above. Out of nowhere, a BMW falls into frame, hitting the ground and bouncing against the Tahoe.
A Texas woman has miraculously survived after driving her luxury sedan off the side of an Austin parking garage.
"My window was down and I heard something really loud and abnormal, so I just started driving forward and the vehicle landed on the backside of the Tahoe", William Burch said.
Surveillance video shows the auto hit the pavement after a seven-storey plunge from a downtown parking garage and striking another vehicle as it lands in the alley. Bystanders reportedly helped the driver until paramedics arrived.
The garage was cited by Austin officials last September over unsafe barrier cable systems.
