KXIP vs KKR Live Score

If you haven't already realized that Apple Music's Carpool Karaoke: The Series is not your mother's Late Late Show bit, then next week's episode with Metallica will seal the deal.

The Fresh Prince joined the Brit funnyman for a special Apple Music episode of Carpool Karaoke.

"Carpool Karaoke" first started out as a segment of Corden's "The Late Late Show" on CBS, which was bought out by Apple in July a year ago after it gained a sizable following.

Earlier this week, "Late Late Show" host James Corden spoke with the Associated Press to weigh in on whether or not Bennington's installment will still be released following his demise.

"We will approach it in whichever manner his family or the people that were involved in that episode, however they would like it to be handled", Corden said of the episode, which was originally set to air in October.

Meanwhile, Liam Gallagher has downplayed the chances of him ever appearing on "Carpool Karaoke", slamming host James Corden as a "knobhead". The episode featured the band singing with actor Ken Jeong. But Corden admitted that he hasn't had the chance to speak with Bennington's family members. "I thought it would be fun if we could sing a Disney song from the Little Mermaid", he said, before cueing up "Part Of Your World". Now we know why they were doing it - and you can catch a quick glimpse of that portion of the episode in the teaser too.

Bennington's wife, Talinda, thanked Corden on Twitter for letting the family decide how the footage should be used. Bennington died of a suicide in July.
