Sixty-three-year-old Margaret Smith was admitted to Vanderbilt University Medical Center after her health suddenly started to deteriorate.
Margaret Smith, 63, had been told she was excessively wiped out for the liver transplant she had been sitting tight to mean, she would not have the capacity to experience the operation.
During an interview with News Channel 5 Network, Ms Neufelder said she would sing to Ms Smith every day during her stay at the hospital.
Neufelder held Smith's hand and sang "Dancing in the Sky", by Dani and Lizzy. Both Smith and Neufelder were overcome with emotion during the clip.
Margaret's daughter posted video of the touching moment on Facebook, where it's gotten more than 2.7 million views so far. "Words can not describe the appreciation and love we feel for nurse Olivia who mom calls her angel!" she wrote.
"Your devotion to your patients is past any that I have seen, you genuinely are a light emission and I can't thank you enough for the care and empathy and cherish you shared for my mom. God bless you Olivia".
Smith was moved from the hospital to a nursing home in Cookeville, Tenn.
"Knowing that she will be dancing in the heavens and singing with the angels helps me find peace during this somber time", Neufelder told radio station 1010 WINS.
"Miss Marg has touched my heart in such an indescribable way", she wrote on Facebook. I am so humbled and honored to be a Nurse. "My thoughts and prayers are forever with this fantastic family", Olivia wrote in a Facebook post.
Neufelder told Fox17 that she hoped the millions of people who watched the videos learned this: "There's always hope, there's always someone".
