But there's one proviso.
Chan dropped the info during an interview appearance promoting his new film The Foreigner, out October 13.
Revealing all in an interview with U.S. radio station Power 106, Chan said: "A few years ago, Karate Kid".
"Next year", he replied when asked when fans could expect the next film."For the last seven years we've been turning down the script, turning down the script, [and] yesterday we just agreed [on the script]". He said he expects a second draft of the script that finally passed muster by the end of this month. "I hope - if Chris Tucker agrees".
Good news for those who have been waiting a decade for another "Rush Hour", with Jackie Chan confirming that things are moving forward for the 4th instalment. So while Chan is onboard, it appears that the decision rests with Tucker.
It's been ten years since the release of Rush Hour 3 in 2007. "It's not like 'Rush Hour" happy-go-lucky, it's very dark, heavy drama, tears".
For now, Rush Hour 4 is expected to shoot sometime in 2018. He also said, "It's not about money".
