Julia Louis-Dreyfus's style, courage, and ability to inspire are on extraordinary display after she revealed her breast cancer diagnosis.
"We Veeps stick together", Biden wrote on Twitter Thursday. "Today, I'm the one", she said in a post on Twitter. In the message, the actress also called for health care reform to help other women who don't have the same resources she does. Hillary Clinton also tweeted, "Julia, you're in our thoughts and our hearts".
"We love this woman", wrote Tony Hale, who plays the role of Gary Walsh, Meyer's long-suffering assistant in Veep.
The overwhelming sentiment appeared to be one of hope, with many fans announcing that if anyone in Hollywood could beat cancer it was Julia. Apparently, that glorious group includes former Vice President Joe Biden. She won her 11th Emmy Award two weeks ago. "Jill and I, and all of the Bidens, are with you, Julia", Biden wrote, the tweet receiving over 50,000 retweets and almost 300,000 likes.
Louis-Dreyfus' publicist said no further details would be forthcoming at this time. Her eight overall Emmy wins is tied with Cloris Leachman for most by a singular performer.
