Samsung Galaxy J2 2017 Edition features a 4.7-inch qHD Super AMOLED display having a resolution of 540 x 960 pixels. It is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core Samsung Exynos processor coupled with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. The South Korean smartphone manufacturing company didn't host any special event for launching the new J series phones, instead just listed the device on the Samsung India website with the specifications.

Samsung has launched its budget Galaxy J2 (2017) in Indian market on Friday. MicroSD card support means that owners will be able to expand storage up to 128GB. Additionally, the smartphone comes with features like Smart Manager for automatic memory clean up and management. There's a 12MP camera for photos and videos, 8MP front-facing camera, a monstrous 4,000 mAh battery and ships with Android 7.0 Nougat.
On the photography front, the Galaxy J2 sports a 5MP auto-focus rear camera with flash and a 2-MP front camera. Meanwhile, Ultra Data Saving mode is claimed to save data up to 50 percent.
Samsung Galaxy J2 2017 Edition measures 136.5 x 69 x 8.4 mm and it weigh 130 grams. Samsung introduced the new color option when it announced the Galaxy Note 8 in August; however, its availability is extremely limited. The phone is launched under the budget category and comes with a price tag of Rs 7,350.
