According to The Tennessean, the country star's injuries forced her to cancel an appearance at the Country Rising benefit concert in town on Sunday night. Carrie Underwood recovery will take more time and her fans now have to wait for their idol's performance. Her husband Mike Fisher wasn't home when she fell but was able to get back to Nashville to be with Underwood at the hospital.
After suffering from a broken bone following a fall at her house, Carrie Underwood is letting fans know that she's on the road to recovery and she feels grateful for the outpouring support so far.
As previously reported, Underwood became emotional during the Country Music Association's star-studded award extravaganza as she crooned "Softly and Tenderly" during the touching in memoriam segment. On Saturday, she gave an update on her condition and thanked her husband for looking after her.
The rep added that Underwood's husband made it back into town the same night that the "American Idol" victor was released from the hospital. I'll be alright. Might just take some time. The concert is set to happen with the help of the victims of Las Vegas festival shooting and hurricanes in that area.
