Build your character and choose your adventure in the largest customizable Far Cry game ever! This is exactly what Far Cry 5 is setting out to do and the new trailer highlights some of the fun you and a pal are going to have (well as much fun as you can have when going up against a cult). This trailer comes from today's Paris Games Week event, and it focuses on co-op gameplay. Your friend will be able to use a plane while you provide cover from below, both of you could attack from the ground and destroy the enemy base. The new player will be dropping in to take over one companion slot from the two that are reserved for hiring human or animal allies. You have to finish the first mission for co-op mode. Any loot or experience you earn while playing in a cooperative game is your own, but only the host player will be able to save their progress in their friend-filled romp through Montana. For example, if you are on the 3rd level of the game and you help your friend finish the last level in their world you will not get progress in your world.
Players will be able to invite their friends into their session right after finishing the game's tutorial and play the game in co-op from then on. In Far Cry 4, the main plot missions were single player only. The host will have individual world progression, something that will include quests, outposts liberated, and other open-world activities.
Freely explore Hope County's rivers, lands, and skies with the largest customizable weapon and vehicle roster ever in a Far Cry game. Co-op wasn't a very popular feature in Far Cry, but that might change with Far Cry 5.
