Real Madrid have reported that Welsh star Gareth Bale has suffered an injury setback, following an issue that has kept him out since early last month.

The Portugal worldwide has demanded that Zidane doesn't bring Bale into his starting XI for Real's next game against Atletico Madrid. Bale's latest injury is a strain to his adductor muscle, as confirmed in the medical report shared by Real Madrid.

Bale has scored two goals in five league appearances for Real, who head into the game at Atletico in third position in La Liga, eight points behind league leaders Barcelona after 11 rounds played. There was once a time when the trio of Bale, Karim Benzema, and Cristiano Ronaldo were thought of as the most potent trio in world football.

Bale's time in Madrid has not been short of success.

"Protected by the hierarchy since he arrived as part of the non-negotiable BBC, he hasn't made himself important", AS added in their analysis.

The Welshman has not played since scoring in a 3-1 win over Borussia Dortmund at the end of September.

The Wales worldwide has sustained another injury setback and is expected to be out for close to a month.

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho conceded before the start of the season the Red Devils would "wait for him" should Bale ever be discarded by Real.
