Ruben Loftus-Cheek has revealed that he had a "quite a strong vision" to leave Chelsea due to a lack of playing time.
The Chelsea midfielder, on-loan at Crystal Palace, impressed at the base of the Three Lions midfield against the world champions on his global bow.
Loftus-Cheek is expected to make his senior England debut in Friday night's friendly with Germany at Wembley Stadium.
"I think we have to be fearless and put some of these boys in because we think they're capable".
And he sparkled against the world champions on his global bow by putting in a display that earned him the man-of-the match award. "It was a really tactical game". Gareth said to do my best like I normally do.
"If we won it would have been better but I'm really happy", he said. I had Gareth in charge for almost three years at the Under-21s and the boys have been great.
Dier was one of three Spurs players in Gareth Southgate's starting line-up, alongside defensive duo, Danny Rose and Kieran Trippier - as the Three Lions gave a good account of themselves as preparations step up ahead of next summers FIFA World Cup Finals in Russian Federation. "I have to keep learning and getting better and hopefully there's a chance to get on the plane".
"I wanted to pick him last month", Southgate told talkSPORT. He has the physical attributes and can handle the ball.
"It took him 10 minutes to realise he's OK here".
I honestly do believe Loftus-Cheek has the ability to be equally as good as him, no question about it.He's one that for the wider public may have flown under the radar a bit until now.
