The Indian Films and TV directors association, Cine and Television Artist Assists and along with the Western India Cinematographers Association, the Screenwriter association, Associations of Cine and television art director and costume designer have all decided that they will all extend their support to Sanjay Leela Bhansali on 16th November at the Film City. "We have regressed. The only people we are answerable to is the censor board, and I know and I believe that nothing can stop the release of this film". This is not the first time that Sanjay Leela Bhansali is facing issues.
The movie 'Padmavati' is all set to release on December 1, 2017.
The protests are not only happening in Mumbai but also in Gujarat too. The controversy is this that there are rumours that there is a dream sequence between Rani Padmini and Alauddin Khilji in the movie; however, Bhansali made it clear that there are no such things in the movie. We condemn such a heinous portrayal our queen. Deepika Padukone had earlier visited the Fever FM Studio and promoted Padmavati and grooved to the song, Ghoomar. His films never have any vulgarity.
Yesterday, Haryana's Health minister Anil Vij had said the state government would not allow the film to be released in Haryana and will approach the censor board to seek a ban on Padmavati. While interacting with fans and media, the actor said the whole cast and crew have invested their sweat and blood and which is why this film is so close to his heart. "The character assassination of Padmavati will not be tolerated at any level".
