Misty Spann, 26, will spend 10 years on probation for illegally marrying her mother, 44-year-old Patricia Spann, who is identified as Patricia Clayton on their marriage license application, filed in March 2016, online records show.
She could face 10 years in prison if found guilty, Tulsa World reported.
Misty was raised by her grandmother after her 44-year-old mother lost custody of her three kids. The young woman claimed Patricia told her she had received legal advice about whether they could get hitched and assured Misty it could happen.
And when they married in 2016, Patricia Ann allegedly convinced her daughter they weren't breaking the law.

Cody Spann, one of Patricia's other children, says his siblings should not be punished and they were tricked into marrying their mother.
Patricia says she actually did the research herself, and thought that it would be OK since she no longer has the same name as what was printed on Misty's birth certificate. She reportedly said her mother assured her she had received legal advice that indicated it was not a crime for them to Wednesday.
That marriage was annulled two years later by the son, on the basis that it was incestuous.
"I think she's worthless she put my sister into this".

This is not the first time she has married one of her children, officials said.
"For you to want to put your own daughter through this, what kind of person are you?" In 2014, the women again met, and two years later got married.
Stephens County court records show that the mother-daughter marriage was annulled October 12, six weeks after Misty Spann filed a petition asking for an annulment "by reason of illegality and fraud".
