They show the organisation made a series of requests: from asking for comments and suggesting President Trump retweet a link, to suggesting Mr Trump should not concede if he lost the election.
President Trump tweeted about the leaked Clinton campaign emails just 15 minutes after Donald Jr. received a message from WikiLeaks, which The Wall Street Journal's Byron Tau first pointed out on Twitter.
In response to the leaking of the messages on Monday, Mr Trump Jr released the "entire chain" of messages "with my whopping three responses".
American intelligence officials have concluded that those emails were initially stolen by Russian hackers as part of a Russian government-directed campaign to interfere with the 2016 election - an effort that favored Donald Trump. Trump Jr. responds: "if it's what you say I love it especially later in the summer".
His lawyer told The Atlantic he and his client "have no concerns about these documents, and any questions raised about them have been easily answered in the appropriate forum". Like this one in December to make Assange the Australian ambassador to the United States. WikiLeaks has denied that Russian Federation was the source of emails it released, including those from Clinton's campaign chairman, John Podesta.
During the campaign, Vice-President Mike Pence said the Trump team had nothing to do with WikiLeaks.
In July, the Twitter account messaged Trump Jr.to ask him to give the site emails surrounding a meeting he and other Trump associates held with Russians during the campaign.
However, at bottom this is also a political question, namely whether Trump's conduct violated his oath of office and whether he abused the powers of the presidency to protect himself from embarrassment.
Vice President Mike Pence responded quickly to the revelations, issuing a statement through his press secretary that he knew nothing about the situation.
On those occasions when the communication concerned information that had already been released, the tweets or other communications would include a link to the post on the Wikileaks website where the information could be found. Alyssa Farah, a Pence spokesman, said yesterday that he was "never aware of anyone associated with the campaign being in contact with WikiLeaks". "He first learned of this news from a published report earlier tonight". Not because of the questionable ethics, but because everything he touches turns into a pain for Donald Trump and the people around him, whether it's meeting with Russian lawyers under weird circumstances or, in this case, just texting with WikiLeaks. "WikiLeaks does not keep such records and the Atlantic's presentation is edited and clearly does not have the full context".
October 31, 2016 in Warren, MI: "Another one came in today", Trump said.
"I think the significance here is, this is yet another indication of the campaign's willingness at the very highest levels to accept foreign assistance - to accept assistance here with a cut-out of the Kremlin that's publishing the stolen documents that were obtained by a Russian hack of Hillary Clinton's campaign", said Adam Schiff, the top Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee.
Democratic Sen. Richard Blumenthal, a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, said the panel should subpoena the documents and force Trump Jr.to publicly testify.
The House and Senate intelligence committees are also expecting to interview Trump Jr., but those interviews are expected to be behind closed doors.
