McGregor then tried to go follow Ward and Goddard went on to say something and proceeded to put his right hand on McGregor and lightly pushed the UFC lightweight champion.
As Peter Carroll of MMAFighting.com notes, McGregor has a history with Goddard.
Amid their celebration, veteran MMA ref, Marc Goddard, tried to break things up and told McGregor to get out of the ring. The card, which took place at 3Arena and was headlined by featherweights AJ McKee and Brian Moore, will air Friday evening on tape delay in the U.S. McGregor also attended that event in support of a teammate, featherweight Artem Lobov. At UFC Fight Night 118 in Gdansk, Poland, on October 21, McGregor left his seat and began yelling instructions from cageside to teammate Artem Lobov during his bout against Andre Fili.
When McGregor initially left the cage, he turned around and ran back into the enclosure shouting "that was a f*cking stoppage" before he was again asked to leave.
McGregor, who is 21-3 in his MMA career, hasn't fought in the sport at all this year.
It is not immediately clear whether McGregor will face any disciplinary action by the UFC or a regulatory body.
McGregor was knocked out by Floyd Mayweather during his pro boxing debut in August.
Eventually McGregor was escorted out of the Octagon.
