Like Marvel Studios, Warner Bros. has movies planned through 2020 for its DC superheroes.
Suicide Squad was viewed as a critical dud, but the film managed to do well at the box office, bringing in $745 million worldwide, easily securing not only a sequel, but various spin-off films, including multiple Harley Quinn projects for actress Margot Robbie.
According to Margot Robbie, the actress behind Harley Quinn who is attached to the Gotham City Sirens as Harley Quinn and as a producer specified that she's working on a separate project and it's definitely not Gotham City Sirens or a Joker/Harley movie.
"But, yeah, I've been working on a separate spin-off Harley thing for a while now". Yeah, I'm sure Warner Bros. won't bungle this all.
Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn left quite an impression on moviegoers (and Warner Bros. executives) a year ago.
Robbie's personal vision for Harley's next step is one that could fit either a solo movie or Gotham City Sirens, as it turns out.
"It's a story about three fantastic women who are trying to find their way in the world, and realize that they have more power together than they do individually", Ayer told IGN. Let us know in the comments! The Joker's love interest is psychotic, eccentric, and is full or personality. This led fans to speculate over which of the Harley-starring DC projects could make through the development process and into production by next year, in order to fulfill Robbie's desires.
No one needed a Suicide Squad spinoff. That means unlike reported films such as Martin Scorsese's Joker movie, the events that occur in the Harley/Joker movie will be canonical. There are four Harley Quinn movies on the schedule and at least two more Wonder Woman films. Polygon has reached out to Warner Bros. for more information and will update if that becomes available.
