America's largest pizza chain is about to begin testing the delivery of beer and wine alongside its pizza pies. "I think this is really one way where we can provide a unique Pizza Hut delivery experience", Pizza Hut marketing director Stacy Lynn Bourgeois told QSR Magazine. Pizza Hut delivery will be your savior, but if you are committing to eating unhealthily, you might as well go all the way. That encompasses beers like Budweiser and Shock Top, with this test also including Arizona craft beer Kilt Lifter.
All options will cost customers a flat $10.99 for the six-pack. The company will add wine soon, but has yet to decide if it will deliver bottles or glasses.
With 1,726 Pizza Hut stores nationwide that have a liquor license, the chain has plans to expand the service rapidly in 2018. So, to make things easy for us all, they're going to start toying around with the idea of delivering pizzas with a side of booze, and that pilot program process starts today.
Pizza Hut is thinking outside of the pizza box in an effort to boost sales.
All drivers with beer and wine deliveries on their routes will be at least 21 years old, according to the company. Customers will also be required to show proof age when the delivery arrives.
