Developed by SCE Cambridge Studio, which became Guerrilla Cambridge before its closure in 2017, MediEvil is an action-adventure hack and slash was released in 1998 for the original PlayStation. The game is set in the medieval Kingdom of Gallowmere and revolves around protagonist Sir Daniel Fortesque. In order to ascend to the Hall of Heroes, Sir Daniel uses this opportunity to defeat Zarok and be acclaimed as a real hero.
MediEvil was a super fun game, and has remained a fan-favorite since its release. In its official blog post, Sony said that the studio directors Siobhan Reddy, Alex Evans, and Mark Healey will be accompanied by a special guest and the team will share more details about the upcoming game.
Thankfully, gamers won't have to wait too long to see how Days Gone stacks against The Last of Us Part II.
Hopefully, this means a MediEvil 3 is on the horizon. Attendees will be able to speak with game developers and get exclusive merchandise.
