KXIP vs KKR Live Score

The Bharat 5 was launched today and its primary objective is to compete with the recently unveiled Nokia 2 and Redmi 5A. While the Xiaomi budget phone has been launched at Rs 5,999 (Rs 4,999 for the first 5 million customers), the Bharat 5 comes at Rs 5,555. The smartphone has a premium feel to it and, unlike the Bharat 5, does not feel bulky.

Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 quad-core processor, Redmi 5A delivers fast and smooth performance.

Launched as entry-level 4G phones, more than the specs and features on offer, it will be with the pricing that will define the futures of the three phones.

Micromax Bharat 5 costs Rs 5,555.

The Rs 199 tariff plan introduced by Reliance Jio will offer the Xiaomi Redmi 5A.

Redmi 5A

Xiaomi has released the Redmi 5A #DeshKaSmartphone on November 30 at Rs. 5999 and Rs. 7999 respectively. It packs a 5,000mAh battery, which is said to offer a standby time of up to 500 hours. The phone comes with a 5.00-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 720 pixels by 1280 pixels at a PPI of 294 pixels per inch. Thanks to the partnership between the Xiaomi and Reliance Jio, due to which Xiaomi Redmi 5A's 2GB RAM + 16GB storage is priced at Rs 3,999. Briefly using the device, I found that basic apps like message and gallery open without any hiccups. Internal storage: 16GB and 32GB, both further expandable by up to 128GB via a dedicated micro-SD card slot.

The Bharat-series has been about offering basic hardware at an entry-level price tag. But, the first 50 lakh handsets will be available at Rs. 4,999/-.

The Bharat 5 is streets ahead of the Redmi 5A in one particular aspect - its 5000mAh battery.

Xiaomi Redmi 5A sports a capable 13MP rear-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture, PDAF and LED flash. It typically takes an extra telephoto lens for depth-of-field images or Google's software chops to do it with a single lens. The Bharat 5 has the biggest display of the three at 5.2 inches.

The Xiaomi Redmi Y1 runs Android 7.0 and is powered by a 3080mAh non removable battery. Apart from this, there should be a fingerprint scanner and IR blaster in this handset. We'll have a more detailed review of the Bharat 5 in the coming days.
