Bharatiya Janata Party President Amit Shah on Sunday launched an attack on the Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPI-M) in Tripura for spreading violence, saying that the former can not stop them from rising in the Left-ruled state.
"Unless the Left Front government was changed in the north-eastern state, it would be reduced to a backward state", he said. Referring Rose Valley scam he stated that Manik Sarkar did not allow CBI to investigate the scam just to save his cabinet colleagues and top leaders of CPI (M).
"Seeing the huge gathering here, I can tell that a change has become inevitable in this state".
Amit Shah is very keen on expanding the party base in the upcoming state elections in Tripura and Meghalaya, Left and Congress bastions respectively. "Modi should hear the loud noise from Meghalaya that BJP would form the next government in 2018 in your state", he said.
Sarma, who is BJP's in-charge of Tripura elections, said that within the next one and a half month the BJP government would be installed in Tripura and then a new Tripura would be shaped and that would be a model state in the entire country. "I am sure many ministers are involved in the chit fund scams and they will be sent to jail", he added. "The more you spread the mud of violence, the better will be the Lotus blossom".
Assembly polls are due as the term of the current House is scheduled to come to an end on March 6.
Shah warned the ruling CPI (M) that any attempt by them to trigger violence in the run-up to the polls would not be spared.
He repeatedly made scatting attack on Mukul asking the people to wipe out Congress rule from Meghalaya.
The people of the State have given a lot of time 25 years to Chief Minister Manik Sarkar to reverse the States fortune but he could not deliver be it in the field of employment or be it in basic infrastructure road, electricity and healthcare, he said. The State is having over seven lakh unemployed youths. "Manik Sarkar has portrayed a falsely constructed image of the cleanest and poorest chief minister of the country, but after 20 years of his uninterrupted leadership, it has only been proven that he is the most corrupt and anti-development chief minister of the country", Shah said.
