After the successful launch of the award-winning BlackBerry KEYone, and the introduction of the Blackberry Motion, TCL Communications are preparing additional BlackBerry hardware, for launch sometime during the rest of 2018. It's going to be offered as a dual-SIM version and will go on sale at some point in Q1 2018 in select markets in Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. BlackBerry announced during its recent gathering that it is planning to launch at least two new smartphones this year - one of which could be the second-generation model of the KEYOne, according to recent speculation.
"We are excited that TCL Communication has chose to bring the BlackBerry Motion with its outstanding battery life and its touchscreen interface to the United States, in addition to introducing a dual-SIM variant of the highly regarded BlackBerry KEYone for global markets".
Last year's BlackBerry KEYone, which launched at MWC 2017, was an attempt to merge BlackBerry's security and enterprise strengths with the flexibility and popularity of Android. With the roll out continuing, in places such as Mexico and South Korea, thanks in part to TCL's key partners, such as AT&T, Sprint, Rogers, Bell, and Telus.
The BlackBerry Motion is the company's first dust-and-water resistant smartphone and comes with pretty solid mid-range specs.
The phone also includes a generous 4,000 mAh battery and ships with Android Nougat out of the box.
Quick Charge 3.0 enables users to get a 50% charge in roughly 40 minutes, through the power of USB Type-C technology.
BlackBerry announced the all-touch Motion three months ago for a number of countries around the world, but today at CES it's finally giving the phone a proper U.S. launch.
