It is also the brightest projector the company has ever produced, topping out at 2,500 lumens.
Carrying the model name HU80KA, the projector, according to LG, is created to provide users with a superior cinematic experience without having to compromise on the display quality.
LG has designed the HU80KA to be a portable, upright projector, which is actually unique and it was made possible by its mirrorless I-shaped engine. This is actually LG's brightest projector to date.
CES 2018 kicks off next week, we are expecting to see a range of new gadgets, one of those will be the new LG 4K UHD Projector.
LG doesn't go into specifics about how compact the HU80KA is, only to say it as portable and about half the size of its competitors.
Unfortunately, the same can't be said of the sound quality given the two puny 7W speakers that the setup accommodates. However, they are also supposed to provide the best resolution, picture clarity and ability to project large images on to any wall. Alternatively, external speakers or a sound bar can be connected via optical output, HDMI or wirelessly through Bluetooth for enhanced audio performance.
LG is also claiming that the projector can be ceiling mounted, though we're struggling to work out exactly how you could do so while accommodating its height. In addition, the tech company has included a carrying handle, which makes the projector easier to hold and carry around. The LG HU80KA comes with LG's own webOS 3.5 installed. Thus, there are a lot of apps and games accessible, as well as all of the big names like YouTube, Netflix, Google Play Movies & TV, and a lot more. Plus it has USB, Ethernet and HDMI support for connectivity as well as wireless support for external devices like keyboard and mouse.
As yet there are no details on how much this new LG 4K UHD Projector will retail for, we will have more details at CES 2018 next week. Nevertheless, all the information about this awesome projector is anticipated to be revealed during its announcement at CES 2018.
