Runaways is based on the Marvel comic book of the same name and follows a group of teenagers who learn that their parents are super villains and who decide that they must stop them. Schwartz and Savage also served as executive producers with Jim Chory and Marvel's Head of Television Jeph Loeb.

The streamer has handed out second season renewals for Runaways and Future Man. It isn't clear when production will begin on this new season, or when the production will announce any new Runaways cast members. "Debuting on November 21, 2017, "Marvel's Runaways"," based on the Marvel Comics superhero team of the same name, is the story of six diverse teenagers who can barely stand each other but who must unite against a common foe - their parents. Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg (This Is the End, Preacher, Superbad), Matt Tolmach (Spider-Man, Jumanji, Rock That Body) and James Weaver (This Is the End, Neighbors, Preacher) executive produce. This matches Future Man's first season run but is an increase in episodes for Runaways, which only had 10 episodes in its premiere season. It is Marvel's first Hulu TV show and it's success could potentially mean more collaborations between Marvel and Hulu.
