On December 28, a major fire at Kamala Mills compound in Lower Parel left 14 people dead.
On 29 December past year, a fire that started at a rooftop pub during a party spread rapidly through the building, killing 14 people, including a woman celebrating her 29th birthday and many of her friends.
The fire is reportedly under control now, according to ANI. Commenting on the matter, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 7) Akhilesh Singh said, "While efforts were on to douse the flames, so far there are no reports of anyone getting injured".
The fire department received the call at 8:07 pm. "There were no causalities in the incident". According to fire brigade officials, the blaze broke out Cinevista studio around 8 pm.
Since then, fires have been reported from Marol in Andheri East, Nagpada near Mumbai Central, Kanjurmarg, and now the Lower Parel fire.
The fire was confined to the ground floor and all those present, including actors and crew members shooting for two television serials at the studio, were immediately evacuated.
