It is almost confirmed that HMD Global will be debuting its Nokia 6 (2018) smartphone in China today (January 5). The Nokia 6 was found lacking, even more so because it was priced around Rs 15,000 in India. Further, the Nokia 6 (2018) has a metal unibody manufacture that is made of 6000 arrangement aluminum.
The fingerprint scanner in Nokia 6 is embedded into the home button on the front.
The new Nokia 6 (2018) is, as of now, available for pre-order only in China. This processor is to be coupled with 256MB RAM and 512MB of internal storage, along with up to 32GB microSD card support.
Nokia 6 comes with a 5.5-inch full HD with a screen resolution of 1920x1080 pixels and 2.5d curved display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Bummer. The device will also run on Android Nougat 7.1 out of the box but will, of course, receive an Oreo update.
The Nokia 6 is undoubtedly the best-looking smartphone in its price range. If you'd prefer the more capacious 64GB version, it'll cost you CNY1699 ($261 USD). However, just a day ahead of its official unveiling, a bunch of images of the purported Nokia 6 (2018) have popped up online that show the handset in more detail.
The revamped 2018 version of the Nokia 6, uninterestingly dubbed the Nokia 6 (2018) has been doing the rounds for quite some time now. The body of Nokia 6 (2018) has a metal unibody and it is made of nearly 6000 series aluminum.
The Nokia 6 (2018) is available in both 32GB and 64GB storage variants. The only other minor changes to the Nokia 6 (2018) are its use of USB Type-C for charging and an upgrade to Bluetooth 5 from Bluetooth 4.1. The cameras have the bothie feature present on the Nokia 7 and 8, and the device also comes with Nokia's OZO recording technology. On the camera side, the device will sport a single 16 MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and dual LED flash. There's no word on when this model will arrive in other markets, but for now, folks in China can reserve one ahead of the January 10th launch, and they should receive their new phones well ahead of Chinese New Year.
