Princess Charlotte has officially started at her prestigious nursery school, and her parents have marked the occasion as all parents do - with adorable photos. The little girl teamed the coat with grey cable knit tights and a pink cashmere cable knit scarf by royal designer Marie-Chantal.
Pictures taken by her pregnant mother showed the smiling two-year-old outside her home before she set off to begin at the private Willcocks Nursery School in Kensington.
While Charlotte "builds a rapport" with classmates and teachers, Kate and William are asked "to stay in the vicinity for the first few sessions so that you can return if needed".
George had the support of his dad Prince William on his first day, but with her mum behind the camera Charlotte's nerves were undoubtedly somewhat abated.
Charlotte's brother Prince George also goes back to school this week.
The royal toddler attended her very first day of pre-school on January 8, and the Palace marked the occasion by sharing a pair of adorable photos of Charlotte all ready for her big day.
The fourth-in-line to the British throne will reportedly be in a class of 32 children taught by an all-female staff at the "traditional" school. It costs roughly $12,000 for a full year of tuition.
According to the palace, the photos were taken on Monday morning by Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, just before Charlotte left for her big day. "We look forward to welcoming Charlotte to our nursery in January".
