HMD Global revived another classic feature phone from the good old days, which is the Nokia 8110. The smartphone runs on the stock version of Android Oreo out of the box and as it is an android one device will be getting the regular security and major updates for the next two years.
The reimagined Nokia 8110 4G also includes 4G LTE connectivity - it's in the name after all.
That RF-transparent paint helps hide the antennas from view, but means they can snake all over the back of the phone - giving you fewer dropped calls, and saving the modem from working overtime to search for a strong signal. With only 2mm thickness on the sides, the Nokia 8 Sirocco offers a 5.5-inch curved 2K polished screen with thin bezels and noticeable outer curves to create an ultra-compact body. The smartphone, however, runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, which is same as the current-generation Nokia 8.
The Nokia 7 Plus is machined from a single block of Series 600 aluminium with copper accents around the camera and the frame. The Nokia 7 Plus also comes with face unlock - using the front camera - and AI imaging features such as the ability to modify lighting conditions and add masks. There's also a microSD card slot, which enables users to further expand the phone's storage capacity.
The Nokia 8 Sirocco isn't coming to the United States, but you may well wish it was. A 3.5mm headphone jack is not available here, you'll need to use a dongle in order to plug your headphones in. It might also be the first Sony phone on the market with a dual camera, and if that's the case, we're looking forward to seeing how Sony's implementation differs from all the others. This new Android One phone will be available starting April this year.
The first is the Nokia 8 Sirocco, which you can see at the top of this post.
The 5.5-inch OLED curved display is bright and colorful, providing an excellent surface for gaming and video playback. On the imaging front, the Nokia 6 (2018) comes with a 16MP rear camera with ZEISS optics paired with an 8MP front camera. It also packs in a 5MP front-facing camera.
Google's Android One programme identifies high-quality, affordable components that can go into next-generation smartphones and makes it easier for manufacturers to build a device. The primary 12 MP camera is accompanied by a 13 MP telephoto lens. The 3,000mAh battery features USB-C fast charging. But then, ZEISS' lenses haven't seen great implementations like Nokia used to do in the past, I hope it's different this time. The new Nokia 6 will ship in early April for 279 Euro. It features a full-screen design and a display with the aspect ratio of 18:9.
