As we mentioned, Xiaomi is expected to launch the Redmi 5 in India on February 14. The camera department has been the only major weak point for Redmi smartphones and the Note 5 may just fix that. All that the invite mentions is a big "5" in the centre and based on that, it can be either of the two.

Coming to its specifications, the Xiaomi Redmi 5A smartphone sports a 5-inch HD display with 720 x 1,280 pixels resolution. The listing also shows that the smartphone have a 12-megapixel rear camera and on the front, it consists of a 5-megapixel shooter for selfies. Regarding connectivity, there is 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v.4.1, GPS/ A-GPS, Infrared, Micro-USB, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
