What's significant is their design - they look very similar to the iPhone X.

Leaked renders of the smartphone hinted at a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, along with a dual-camera setup positioned vertically.

As stated, ASUS hasn't declared the price of the Zenfone 5 and 5Z yet.

Asus will ship the ZenFone 5 Lite in March, then release the ZenFone 5 and 5Z in April and June, respectively.

Asus has introduced several features powered by AI and big data analytics, including something called AI Charging that aims to preserve battery life by analysing users' phone charging patterns. Having said that, the device features a 6.2-inch fullHD+ IPS display, and we're looking at a 19:9 display aspect ratio, mainly because of that notch up top.

Asus calls the Zenfone 5 series an Intelligent Phone because it uses lots of AI. This helps the device come up with some of the flawless shots in an effortless manner, the ZenFone 5Z and the ZenFone 5 use big-data analysis to enhance the scene-detection algorithms and the performance only gets better with usage.

Since it's a flagship device, the phone rocks the latest flagship processor by Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 845. Asus only announced price for the 5Z, but said that the Snapdragon 845-endowed phone with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage will start at a pretty-affordable €479, or around $488 without Value-Added Tax.

MobileSyrup has reached out to Asus for Canadian pricing and availability and will update this article when it arrives. However, in an earlier interaction, the company had said that it will bring both these phones to the Indian market soon, though it did not confirm a timeline. The rear panel also has the dual cameras placed vertically as seen on the iPhone X.

The phone resembles iPhone X as it copies both top notch and vertical rear camera setup.

In terms of optics, the Zenfone 5Z comes with a 12MP sensor with f/1.8 aperture size and LED flash, there is a secondary 120-degree wide angle lens paired as well. The phone uses the power of AI to enhance the experience of using the phone and Asus has included some rather interesting features. Their so-called "AI Charging" tech also keeps the phone from charging to 100 percent overnight, which apparently extends longevity as well. Connectivity features include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, NFC, GPS/ A-GPS and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Up front, there's an 8-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture for selfies.

MobileSyrup was pre-briefed on the Asus ZenFone 5 and Asus ZenFone 5 Lite at MWC. Finally it runs Android 8.0 Oreo with ZenUI 5.0, has 3300mAh battery with fast charging, and USB Type C. Next we have the Zenfone 5 with Snapdragon 636 SoC, rest of the specifications and design are same as the Zenfone 5Z. The Zenfone 5z from Asus comes with a huge 6.2-inch display with a almost bezel-less form factor.

Credit: Tom's GuideThe device looks like Apple's most expensive iPhone, complete with a notch to house the front-facing camera lens, but for half the price. In spite of that, however, the Zenfone 5 isn't all that inconvenient to hold which is nice. The body of the Zenfone 5 Lite is built of aluminium which makes it both light as well as durable.

According to another report on WinFuture, the alleged ZenFone 5 smartphone comes with an 18:9 aspect ratio display.

The phone will also be running Android Oreo with ZenUI 5.0 on top. The Z is a premium variant of the device whose base version is all but identical to the main ZenFone 5, apart from its use of Qualcomm's snazzy new Snapdragon 845, plus increased RAM and storage options.
