Philips Hue already lets people create customized color schemes through its line of smart bulbs inside the home. We now know the product lineup will be available in July and span the company's three main ranges, Philips Hue white, Philips Hue white ambiance, and Philips Hue white and color ambiance.
Like its indoor counterparts, Phillips new outdoor smart lights are responsive to voice commands (e.g. through Google Home integration). The outdoor light choices will include both white and white and color options at various price points, starting at $29.99 and going up to nearly $300.
With the Hue app, you can check and control your lights wherever you are, and schedule them to switch on and off at specific times. Presumably, we'll have more information on products availability at that point.
The Philips Hue Calla (MSRP $129.99, 640 lumens) is ideal for path lighting. Simply choose a color which suits your mood, or even go one step further and change your lighting to reflect your guest's favorite color palette, dimming to create a more intimate setting as the night draws on.
You can get the bulbs starting in July throughout the United States and Europe.
The smart home specialist is adding a number of new products powered by both white and colour ambiance bulbs. Philips isn't going into detail today, but further products named Lucca, Tuar, Turaco and Ludere will be unveiled at an event on March 19.
