The Galaxy S9 also packs more pixels. These changes aren't really noticeable but improve the overall feel of the device in your hand. You can argue whether the ability to turn your phone into a PC is a worthwhile experience, but the fact of the matter is, Samsung is thinking of the phone in ways Apple isn't.

Samsung has laid out the grand plan for it's virtual assistant Bixby and SmartThings integration between all of its appliances and devices in the next couple of years. Users can translate foreign languages and currency in real time with Live Translation, learn about their surroundings, purchase products seen in the real world and track calories. However, the U.S. and Chinese markets will get an S9+ with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845.
Prior to the Galaxy S9, the best smartphone display according to DisplayMate belonged to the iPhone X. However, it seems Samsung has pulled this one out of the bag with the AMOLED panel on the S9 with what DisplayMate are calling the "most innovative and high-performance smartphone display" it has ever tested.
