KXIP vs KKR Live Score

After eight seasons with the Dallas Cowboys, the team made a decision to part ways with WR Dez Bryant on Friday and it was a shock to everybody who thought they would work this out.

Bryant turns 30 years old in November and is coming off three straight seasons with under 1,000 receiving yards.

During the 2014 season when Bryant's 16 TD catches helped the Cowboys win the NFC East, they also won a playoff game for only the second time since the last of their five Super Bowl titles in the 1995 season. I once read on a Cowboys forum a fan write that he wished the Dallas Cowboys loved the Dallas Cowboys as much as the fans do.

The fact is, Dez Bryant will likely have his choice of National Football League teams to play for next season.

Because of that, he finds himself on this list of the most overrated players in the NFL.

In 113 games over his eight seasons with the Cowboys, Bryant has caught 513 passes for 7,459 yards and a franchise-record 73 touchdown receptions. Whether this shakeup will wakeup Bryant into playing like his 2014 self we may never know however one thing is certain the Cowboys have more flexibility in terms of cap space heading into 2018.

Bryant tweeted his frustration after being told of his release when he arrived Friday for a meeting at the team's headquarters.

But Bryant hasn't had a 1,000-yard season since getting the new contract. Still, if Bryant intends to make the Cowboys pay, Washington makes the most sense.

The 3-time Pro Bowl receiver was released by the Dallas Cowboys Friday. We saw all sides of the Dez Bryant we've come to know, love, and hate over the years.

While I wouldn't be opposed to the Packers adding him at the right price, Bryant appears to be in decline.

Bryant also wouldn't command the kind of price tag he was set to earn next year in Dallas. The potential matchup between Dez and the Cowboys young defensive backs is a mouthwatering prospect, as is the thought of him lining up in a uniform belonging to the Eagles, Redskins or Giants in Dallas. Bryant is not worth letting one of those two defensive players walk for, especially with the production he has put up lately. If that happens, Hurns could still end up the best wideout for Dallas, but I think his ceiling is a midrange WR2.

Outright releasing Bryant saves Dallas $8.5 million against the cap while incurring a dead-money charge of $8 million.
