After a mega unveil at this MWC in Barcelona, HMD Global-led Nokia has unveiled its 2018 lineup of smartphones in India - the Nokia 6 (2018), Nokia 7 Plus and Nokia 8 Sirocco.

HMD Global, which designs and sells Nokia brand of phones, today said it will focus on expanding product range and deepening retail presence in India this year.

The Finland-based company has specifically created an event on the Facebook.

Google had first introduced Android One handsets in 2014 with Indian phone makers like Micromax, Spice and Karbonn, with all devices priced under Rs 6,500.

The Nokia 7 Plus and the new Nokia 6 are mid-range offerings, priced at Rs. 25,999 and Rs. 16,999. Nokia 7 Plus is equipped with 360 spatial audio system for better surround sound. The 2017 Nokia 6 was criticized for its bad camera quality, more specifically, the muted colours its images would show. So as far as software goes, you can expect a fast and fluid experience across all the three devices. Surprisingly, though, the phone comes preloaded with Android 8.0.

HMD Global has launched at least one smartphone in every price segment.

The Nokia 7 Plus is made out of a single 6000 aluminum block and features bronze or orange accents around the edges. Notably, the Nokia 7 Plus follows a similar dual tone design language.

"The specs sheet has also listed a 6.01" QHD OLED display with an 18:9 aspect ratio for Nokia 9. The smartphone will also pack a massive 3,900mAh battery that could provide a standby time of 565 hours and talk time of up to 24 hours. The duo is coupled with a dual-tone LED flash and Zeiss optics. Other highlights of the new Nokia 6 are 5.5-inch Full HD display with 1920 x 1080 resolution and 16:9 aspect ratio, 16MP camera at the rear, 8MP front camera and 3000mAh battery life.

Question: Which Android version runs on the Nokia 8 Sirocco? And competing phones like the Honor View 10 which comes with a thick skin on top might just not work for a lot of buyers. This can be a deal breaker for Nokia as the price-point of Nokia 8 is quite hefty and it still ships with the last year's Snapdragon 835 CPU. The internal storage capacity of the device is 32GB which can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD card. The phone is inspired by the fancy Nokia 8800 Sirocco, which was released more than a decade ago in 2006. It is the company's newest flagship, and it is more of a passion project than anything else. The front and back glass panels are protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. "Similarly, the other parts of the phone over a period of time", Mehta said, adding that he expects that by 2022, "a few things will continue to be imported, but nearly the entire component ecosystem will start to set up in India". Airtel customers buying the Nokia 8 Sirocco will be able to enjoy an additional data benefit of 120GB. It is powered by the Snapdragon 430 chipset with Adreno 505 GPU.

Nokia says each smartphone will stay updated with monthly security updates guaranteed and no unnecessary UI changes or hidden processes eating up battery life or slowing them down.
