Beyonce made history at Coachella this year, as she became the first black woman to headline the California-based music festival.

Bey had been hyping up her performance all week, writing on Facebook, "I am so excited to see the BeyHive tonight at Coachella". It had initially been planned for last year's festival but was called off due to the artist's second pregnancy.

Beyoncé brought down the house at Coachella Saturday night with a little help from her friends - and Twitter has never been so grateful.

And Beyonce was joined by her biggest fan during her hotly anticipated performance, as she teamed up with proud husband Jay-Z for a sizzling duet. She even performed "Lift Every Voice and Sing", known as the national black anthem.

Meanwhile, the mom-of-three wore a coordinating sparkly black and gold ensemble for her performance alongside former Destiny's Child members Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams. The trio of women came together and sang iconic tunes like "Lose My Breath", "Say My Name", and "Soldier".

Beyoncé was supposed to headline the festival previous year, but was forced to pull out due to her pregnancy.

After performing a series of her singles from Lemonade, Jay-Z made a cameo for to perform their classic collab,"Déjà Vu". At one point in her set, DJ Khaled declared that the festival should be renamed "Beychella".

And judging by the reaction on social media, Queen B will definitely be invited back.
