The result of this will be much cooler temperatures for Mother's Day with highs back in the mid 60s. Winds gusting 20 to 30 miles an hour during the afternoon. It's a comfortable morning but we will warm to the upper 80s to 90 degrees again this afternoon.
The next system crosses through on Thursday, bringing a return to showers and thunderstorms. It will be a breezy day. Everyone will see a higher chance of showers across the region for Friday and Saturday as the low pressure center moves right over E. Idaho. This is well above average for this time of the year.
On Saturday, warm and humid air is expected to dominate southeastern Pa., including the Philly metro area and surrounding suburbs. Highs will be in the upper 60s and low 70s with a chance for showers. We will have some lingering showers and thunderstorms Sunday night.
Expect a mix of sun and clouds this afternoon as it gets warmer with highs in the upper 80s to low 90s.

A few isolated showers over east central Alabama will lose steam as we approach sunset. Temperatures remain in the 70s.
Tuesday will be similar but on Wednesday temperatures will stay fairly high with a maximum of 20°C.
