Kim Kardashian West met US President Donald Trump at the White House on 30 May 2018 to discuss prison reform.

Johnson is a first-time non-violent drug offender sentenced to life in prison. The 1994 indictment describes dozens of deliveries and drug transactions, many involving Johnson.

To be honest I am just surprised Trump didn't caption the image "name a more iconic duo".

Kim is set to make the visit to the White House without the KUWTK cameras, her sisters or Trump-supporter husband Kanye. The group Change.org has put together an online petition on her behalf, and she tops the non-profit group Can-Do's list of convicted women who deserve a reprieve.

She also shared a tweet about a man who was sentenced to only 90 days of house arrest after raping a child.

As Vanity Fair reported, Secret Service agents will escort Kardashian and her lawyer to the Oval Office - after her talk with Kushner - to meet with Trump.

The White House did not comment on whether or not Trump would consider pardoning Alice Marie Johnson.

"We are optimistic about Ms. Johnson's future and hopeful that she - and so many like her - will get a second chance at life", the statement said.

Earlier in the day Kim Kardashian had wished Ms Johnson happy birthday on Twitter and insisted the day of the meeting was for her.

He also pardoned vice president Dick Cheney's former chief of staff Lewis "Scooter" Libby.

He met the President at Trump Tower shortly after his election victory, and was pictured wearing a cap bearing the slogan, "Make America Great Again", a phrase associated with Mr Trump. Her petition for clemency was denied by President Barack Obama in 2016, despite supportive letters from her warden and other prison officials. In October of 2017, the "Keeping Up With The Kardashian" star tweeted her thoughts about Johnson.

She will die in prison unless she's granted clemency.

Johnson was sentenced in 1996 for helping in a multimillion-dollar cocaine ring, something Johnson said she became involved with after she lost her job and was unable to support her family.

She was sentenced to life in prison in 1997, and appellate judges and the U.S. Supreme Court have rejected her appeals.

After first showing the New York Post cover calling Kardashian "Kim Thong Un" alongside the headline, "Trump Meets Rump", Williams commended the reality start for building a platform and using it for good. "I would say this, I don't think you should dress like you weigh 120 pounds".
