Blizard's mega-blockbuster "Overwatch" is now one of the top games that are being played by gamers from all over the world and with a recent leakage of a video which teases information about upcoming Overwatch's Anniversary Event way before any official confirmation and along with it, the leak also provide information on its release schedule which begins from May 22nd, 2018. The video shows Junkrat and Roadhog dancing as their skins change which we assume would be the upcoming skins that will be released during the event.
Here's everything you need to know about the Overwatch two-year anniversary event, including the start time and all the items. Blizzard promises over 50 new cosmetic items, including eight legendary and three epic skins, not to mention dance emotes.
This will be called Petra and will be limited to Deathmatch mode only. The celebration will also make seasonal cosmetics and gameplay modes from the year's past events available again.
It looks like this will be the event with most amount of cosmetic items to grab ever. Speaking of which, Blizzard will also release a new Overwatch Legendary Edition on May 22, which will include sets of Legendary, Epic, and Origin skins.
The Overwatch Brazil Twitter account leaked the Anniversary 2018 announcement earlier this week. If you choose this option, then a bonus of one Legendary loot box will come with it. The first loot box you receive is guaranteed to have at least one Legendary-level item.
All content in Overwatch will be unlocked during this period and players will be able to earn Xbox Achievements as well. As noted in the tweet, Blizzard will also be bringing back past brawls to the game, so gamers will want to keep an eye out for it.
The new maps were named Necropolis, Castillo and Black Forest.
