Apple has released a new App Store Connect app for iOS, appearing to replace the ageing iTunes Connect app that allows developers to manage their applications submitted to the App Store.
One other new feature of MacOS Mojave is desktop stacks, which automatically categorizes files on the desktop into stacks which you can go through to declutter your Mac's desktop space. Many users have asked for touch support on a Mac, and other have asked for mouse support on the iPad Pro. Aside from new categories of featured apps and games, the shopfront will be getting Microsoft's Office 365 and Adobe's Lightroom CC.
The Do Not Disturb During Bedtime feature blocks access to notifications during preset hours. Again, this isn't complete because it doesn't account for what apps are used via Wi-Fi connection. It is the latest operating system for the Apple Watch lineup of wearables from the company. The Mac App Store itself also received a complete overhaul. It's an augmented-reality app that works as a virtual ruler to measure length or distance using your iPhone's camera. "Familiar iOS apps, including News, Stocks, Voice Memos and Home, are now available on the Mac for the first time".
For starters, there's a new way for them OS to automatically stack files together and sort the desktop conveniently called "Stacks", while Finder will be updated with a view that will let you look through files visually.
The next version of MacOS, called Mojave, will include a redesigned App Store with more editorial curation, similar to the one that launched on iOS past year. The new update also brings simplified system information that prevents you from being tracked on the web.
Apple has not forgotten about data security and privacy either.
Making the Screenshot tool easier to use and feature-rich, Apple also brought new features to this tool as well. These apps might have the same overall feel as their mobile counterparts but key user interactions will have to be updated for the desktop environment. The beta version will be available to developers today and to the public later this month.
